Early 1960s "The Lilly" Lilly Pulitzer Yellow & Green Floral DressThe label on this wonderful Pulitzer dress dates it to the early sixties and it is one of her very earliest labels. She began designing and making her dresses in 1960 and her label was set when Jackie Kennedy wore one of her dresses in Life Magazine. Her bright colored, happy little shifts were favorites of Hampton society girls and they have become classics. Her dresses are bright and fresh and the early ones always incorporated lace details.
