This dress and jacket ensemble was inspired by an original from the designers collection but also film and photographs from the period. The check print pairs beautifully with the steel solid and is used in both the bodice, sleeves and belt in the dress and the lining for the jacket which falls into iconic waterfall folds at the front. (a classic early 1930s feature seen in many dresses and jackets of the time). You will also observe the beautiful point at the sleeve end cuff.
